Welcome to the enchanted world of Stone and Spear!
Simon Cook is illustrator, designer and creator of, Stone and Spear, the pseudonym from his middle names, Peter and Frank. Searching to escape the monotonous routine of day to day life, Simon propels us into another dimension where the world of Stone and Spear collides with our own. Producing work from editorial illustration and club flyers to identities, logos and t-shirts, Simon has since gained international recognition for his playful combination of striking photographic imagery and bold graphics.
With a client list featuring the likes of Design Week, Clash, Resident Advisor, The Big Issue, Wired Magazine and Anorak, Stone and Spear has featured heavily in a number of international publications including Computer Arts Magazine, Elephant and Digital Arts. His first solo exhibition, Buffalo Breath, opened in December 2010 at Concrete Hermit, Carnaby Street, London.
Shortlisted for New Designer of the Year in 2010 and named by Creative Review as ‘one of the year’s most promising graduates in visual communication’. Linked closely to the music and fashion industry, most recently he was highlighted by Dazed Digital and i-D Online as one of the Top 10 illustrators to keep one eye open for and has just been snapped up by Givenchy as a Menswear Print Designer.
